Be the Encouragement Someone Needs Today
Sometimes we think encouraging someone has to be something big. The perfect words. A long conversation. Some grand gesture.
But most of the time, it’s much simpler than that.
It’s sending the text that says, “I was thinking about you today.”
It’s telling someone, “You’re doing a great job,” when they may be quietly wondering if they are.
It’s listening without trying to fix everything. Showing up. Praying for someone. Reminding them that they aren’t walking through life alone.
The truth is, we never really know what someone may be carrying behind their smile. A little kindness can reach a place in someone’s heart that we may never even know needed it.
And I think that’s one of the beautiful ways God uses us—through ordinary moments and simple acts of love.
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Today, I want to be more intentional about that. To notice people. To speak the kind word instead of just thinking it. To send the message instead of saying, “I’ll do it later.”
Because sometimes the encouragement we almost didn’t give is exactly what someone needed that day.
So grab your coffee, look around, and ask yourself:
Who can I encourage today?
A few kind words may seem small to you, but they could mean everything to someone else.
