Hello, September: A New Month, A New Season

There’s something about September that just feels different.

Maybe it’s because fall is right around the corner. The mornings slowly begin to change, the days get a little shorter, and even if the weather is still holding on to summer, my mind is already on fall decor, candles, pumpkins, cooler evenings, and all the cozy little things I love about this time of year.

But I think September represents something more than the beginning of fall.

It reminds me that life comes in seasons, too.

Some seasons are exciting and full of new beginnings. Others stretch us, change us, or leave us wondering what comes next. Some are busy, some are quiet, and some teach us to appreciate things we may have taken for granted before.

Maybe that’s why a new month can feel so refreshing.

Not because everything magically changes when the calendar turns to September, but because it gives us a natural moment to look around and ask ourselves:

How am I doing?
What do I want more of in this next season?
What am I ready to leave behind?

This September, I don’t want to put pressure on myself to accomplish more, do more, or completely reinvent my life.

I want to appreciate it.

I want to notice the little things. Drink my coffee without rushing through it. Spend time with the people I love. Laugh more. Take the pictures. Make the memories. Sit outside when the evenings finally cool down. Pull out the fall decorations way too early and enjoy every minute of it.

Because seasons change quickly.

One minute we’re talking about how summer just started, and the next we’re pulling out pumpkins and wondering how another year is already moving toward its final few months.

Life can feel that way, too.

We spend so much time waiting for the next thing—the weekend, the vacation, the holiday, the accomplishment, the easier season—that sometimes we forget the life we’ve been given is happening right now.

So as September begins, I’m not making a long list of resolutions.

I’m choosing something much simpler.

I want to be present for this season of my life.

I want to appreciate what I have while I have it. I want to make room for what matters, let go of a few things that don’t, and trust that whatever this next season brings, there will still be something beautiful to find in it.

Goodbye, August. Thank you for the memories.

And hello, September.

Here’s to a new month, a new season, cooler days ahead, cozy moments, fresh perspective, and remembering to enjoy the life happening right in front of us.

What are you looking forward to most about this new season?

Hi, I'm Ana

I'm so glad you're here.

If there's one thing I hope you discover while you're visiting this little corner of the internet, it's that no matter what season you're walking through, you never have to walk through it alone.

I'm a faith-inspired author, speaker, and encourager with a passion for helping women find hope, healing, and peace through life's challenges. My faith has carried me through seasons of joy, loss, waiting, and unexpected turns, and those experiences have shaped both my life and my writing.

I wrote Always Enough because I wanted to share my story honestly—the struggles, the healing, and the incredible faithfulness of God through it all. My prayer is that every reader walks away encouraged, knowing they are deeply loved and never beyond God's grace.

Here on my website, you'll find more than books. Through Coffee & Grace, I share reflections, devotionals, and practical encouragement for everyday life. Whether you're looking for hope, a reminder of God's promises, or simply a quiet place to pause for a few minutes, I hope you'll feel at home here.

When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me with a cup of coffee in hand, spending time with my family, working on a quilting project, or enjoying the beauty of God's creation. I believe some of life's sweetest moments happen in the ordinary, where God gently reminds us that His grace is more than enough.

Thank you for being here and allowing me to be part of your journey. I hope you'll stay awhile, explore, and come back often.

Grace & Peace,

Ana Hale
