Why Women Need Something That's Just Theirs

I have been thinking about this lately. I really believe women need something in their lives that is just theirs.

We spend so much of our lives taking care of other people. We are wives, moms, employees, daughters, friends, caregivers, and usually the ones trying to keep everything together.

I love being a wife and a mom. Those are some of the most important parts of my life. But I also think it is really easy for women to get so wrapped up in taking care of everyone else that we forget about ourselves.

Sometimes we even forget what we like to do.

Think about it. If someone asked you right now what you enjoy doing just for yourself, what would you say?

For some women, maybe it is gardening. Maybe it is baking, reading, working out, decorating, crafting, writing, or getting together with a book club. Maybe it is starting a little business or finally doing something you have talked about doing for years.

It doesn't really matter what it is.

I just think we all need something that reminds us that there is still a person underneath all the roles we carry.

For me, creating my website and writing has become part of that.

I didn't start because I had everything figured out. I definitely didn't. I started because I wanted a place to share things that mattered to me. My thoughts, my family recipes, my faith, things I have learned, and even the things I am still trying to figure out.

It has given me something that is mine.

I also think we need to stop believing everything we enjoy has to become something bigger.

You can bake because you love baking. You can write without becoming an author. You can grow a garden without turning it into a side hustle. You can start a blog even if only a handful of people read it.

You are allowed to do something simply because it makes you happy.

And if it does turn into something more one day, that's great too.

I think this becomes even more important as we get older. Our kids grow up. Our lives change. The things that needed so much of us at one point may not need us in quite the same way anymore.

That can leave you wondering, what now?

Maybe the answer isn't some huge life change.

Maybe it is just finding something that makes you feel excited again. Something that challenges you a little. Something you look forward to. Something that belongs to you.

So maybe the question isn't, "What should I be doing?"

Maybe it is simply, "What do I enjoy?"

And if you don't know the answer anymore, that's okay.

Maybe it's time to find out.

Hi, I'm Ana

I'm so glad you're here.

If there's one thing I hope you discover while you're visiting this little corner of the internet, it's that no matter what season you're walking through, you never have to walk through it alone.

I'm a faith-inspired author, speaker, and encourager with a passion for helping women find hope, healing, and peace through life's challenges. My faith has carried me through seasons of joy, loss, waiting, and unexpected turns, and those experiences have shaped both my life and my writing.

I wrote Always Enough because I wanted to share my story honestly—the struggles, the healing, and the incredible faithfulness of God through it all. My prayer is that every reader walks away encouraged, knowing they are deeply loved and never beyond God's grace.

Here on my website, you'll find more than books. Through Coffee & Grace, I share reflections, devotionals, and practical encouragement for everyday life. Whether you're looking for hope, a reminder of God's promises, or simply a quiet place to pause for a few minutes, I hope you'll feel at home here.

When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me with a cup of coffee in hand, spending time with my family, working on a quilting project, or enjoying the beauty of God's creation. I believe some of life's sweetest moments happen in the ordinary, where God gently reminds us that His grace is more than enough.

Thank you for being here and allowing me to be part of your journey. I hope you'll stay awhile, explore, and come back often.

Grace & Peace,

Ana Hale
