This Season of Life

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about this season of life.

It feels different from the years that came before it. It is not necessarily sad, and it is not bad. It is simply a season of change.

For so many years, life was filled with raising kids, keeping up with schedules, working, making dinner, doing laundry, getting everyone where they needed to be, and trying to keep all the pieces moving.

There was always something that needed my attention.

Now, life is starting to look a little different.

My kids are growing up, and although they still need me, they need me in different ways now. Parenting older kids has taught me that motherhood never really ends. It just changes.

Sometimes they want my advice. Sometimes they only want me to listen. Sometimes I have to remind myself that not every situation needs my opinion.

That part is still a work in progress.

I think one of the strangest parts of motherhood is that you spend years teaching your children to become independent, and then when they actually start becoming independent, you realize how emotional that can be.

I am incredibly proud of the people they are becoming. At the same time, I still miss some of the little-kid years.

I miss the noise. I miss the little voices. I even miss some of the chaos that probably drove me crazy at the time.

There is something really beautiful about watching your children grow into their own lives, but it also makes you stop and think about your own life.

That is where I find myself right now.

For so many years, being a mom and a wife has been a huge part of my identity. Those roles still mean so much to me, and they always will.

At the same time, I have started asking myself what I want this next season to look like.

I have been thinking about the things I enjoy, the things I still want to try, the places I want to go, and the memories I want to make with my husband.

I have also been thinking about what God is trying to teach me in this season.

I do not have all the answers yet.

I am learning to be okay with that.

I do not need to have the next chapter completely figured out. I just need to keep moving forward, paying attention, and trusting God with what comes next.

There are still kids who need me. There is still a marriage to nurture. There is still work to do. There are still everyday responsibilities waiting for me.

But I also feel a pull toward making more room for joy, adventure, faith, and the things that make me feel like myself.

I want to spend more intentional time with the people I love.

I want to appreciate ordinary days instead of rushing through them.

I want to try new things and say yes to adventures when I can.

Most of all, I want to trust that God is still working in my life and that there is still so much ahead.

Maybe this season is not about starting over.

Maybe it is about carrying everything I have learned with me and stepping into whatever comes next with a little more wisdom, a little more courage, and a lot more gratitude.

I want to enjoy this season instead of wishing for the one that came before it.

I want to be present for the conversations, the family dinners, the time with my husband, the quiet mornings, the road trips, the laughter, and even the uncertain moments.

There is still so much life ahead.

I am still a mom. I am still a wife. I am still learning. I am still growing.

And I am still becoming the woman God created me to be.

I have a feeling I am not the only one in this season.

Are you there too? What are you learning about yourself in this chapter of your life?

This Season of Life — motherhood, marriage, faith, and the adventure of becoming.

Hi, I'm Ana

I'm so glad you're here.

If there's one thing I hope you discover while you're visiting this little corner of the internet, it's that no matter what season you're walking through, you never have to walk through it alone.

I'm a faith-inspired author, speaker, and encourager with a passion for helping women find hope, healing, and peace through life's challenges. My faith has carried me through seasons of joy, loss, waiting, and unexpected turns, and those experiences have shaped both my life and my writing.

I wrote Always Enough because I wanted to share my story honestly—the struggles, the healing, and the incredible faithfulness of God through it all. My prayer is that every reader walks away encouraged, knowing they are deeply loved and never beyond God's grace.

Here on my website, you'll find more than books. Through Coffee & Grace, I share reflections, devotionals, and practical encouragement for everyday life. Whether you're looking for hope, a reminder of God's promises, or simply a quiet place to pause for a few minutes, I hope you'll feel at home here.

When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me with a cup of coffee in hand, spending time with my family, working on a quilting project, or enjoying the beauty of God's creation. I believe some of life's sweetest moments happen in the ordinary, where God gently reminds us that His grace is more than enough.

Thank you for being here and allowing me to be part of your journey. I hope you'll stay awhile, explore, and come back often.

Grace & Peace,

Ana Hale
